On 25 Apr. 2023, the General Office of China’s State Council issued the "Opinions on Promoting the Scale Stabilization and Structure Optimization of Foreign Trade" (關(guān)于推動(dòng)外貿(mào)穩(wěn)規(guī)模優(yōu)結(jié)構(gòu)的意見) to ensure the realization of the import and export objectives as well as to stabilize China’s economic growth and employment.
These measures include:
- Promote full restoration of China’s offline exhibitions;
- Facilitate visa applications for overseas businessmen to visit China and improve the efficiency of obtaining APEC business travel cards;
- Increase the advantages of Chinese automobile exports, for which China will provide transportation and financial facilities to Chinese automobile manufacturers;
- Promote exports of large complete equipment, for which China will provide financial and recruitment support to the manufacturers of such products; and
- Expand imports of advanced technology and equipment, and guide enterprises to import more advanced technology and equipment that are in short supply in China.
